DICT brings eGovAI assistance into the eGovPH app

What DICT launched

The official eGovAI site describes the service as an intelligent assistant within the eGovPH app. It is developed by the Department of Information and Communications Technology and is intended to guide people through government services and information.

The platform lists tools for real-time translation across Philippine languages, optical character recognition for extracting text from documents, identity verification, law and regulation lookup, and other assisted tasks. Availability can depend on the app, account and agency configuration.

The important limit

eGovAI's terms say generated responses may be incomplete or inaccurate. They do not automatically become an official government record, decision, legal opinion, medical advice or binding agency guidance.

The same terms require appropriate human review before agencies rely on output for decisions, public communications or actions affecting rights, benefits, safety or access to services. Citizens should still confirm important requirements with the responsible agency.

How to use it carefully

• Use the assistant to locate the correct service, form or agency, then check the official page it points to.
• Do not upload passwords, one-time codes, unnecessary personal data or confidential documents.
• Check names, dates, amounts and eligibility requirements before acting on an answer.
• Ask the responsible agency when an answer could affect a benefit, deadline, right or official record.
