What is happening

The IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines lists the International IT-BPM Summit for September at Okada Manila. The official agenda gives the dates as 23–24 September 2026.

This year’s theme is “Intelligence at Scale: Accelerating the PH Pivot.” The organizer says the summit will focus on technology, talent and trust as the industry moves toward AI-enabled global services.

What BPO workers should know

The programme does not describe AI only as a cost-cutting tool. Sessions cover workforce training, middle- and back-office work, customer experience, responsible use and the goal of AI-enabling two million Filipino workers.

A conference theme is not proof that every company has finished this transition. Workers should look for specific training, changed job requirements and examples where AI improves the work without hiding risks or removing human checks.

  • Choose sessions tied to your role, such as customer service, workforce development or back-office work.
  • Ask what training, measures and worker safeguards support each AI claim.
  • Treat announcements made on stage as leads until the company or agency publishes the details.
