What was signed

On 25 June 2026, Mintra signed a memorandum of understanding with the Maritime Industry Authority in Manila, on the Day of the Seafarer. The partnership covers digital learning, train-the-trainer programmes, maritime learning resources, and digital certification and competence tracking through Mintra’s Trainingportal.

The partners will explore artificial intelligence and data analytics for maritime education, training and workforce planning. A Joint Coordinating Committee will set action plans, timelines and measurable outcomes. The MOU does not announce a course application process.
